Handmade furniture and bespoke beds by The Goodwood Cellars, Exeter, Devon

Bemourning the amount of superb yet usable timber being burnt on demolition sites, Richard Williams was moved to reclaim and recycle the timber into solid handmade furniture.  The result of this was The Goodwood Cellars, on The Quay in the city of Exeter.

In the last decade, roof timbers and ships timbers have been transformed into bespoke furniture from bookshelves to bespoke beds.  The result of this: solid bespoke furniture at no cost to the environment, built to last.

Our bespoke beds and handmade furniture is made from pine, oak, elm, ash and beech woods.

At The Goodwood Cellars we have one solution: all our handmade furniture is made from recycled wood.  We take wood from demolition site and produce items mainly on a commission basis.  Our work can be made to measure, using both hard and soft woods at our premises on the quay.

With our aims on reducing our carbon footprint further and supporting local industry, none of our handmade furniture are cheap imports.  Our bespoke furniture, from handmade drawers to bespoke beds is made by us, at The Goodwood Cellars in Devon.

We are within the city centre of Exeter and a short walk from Exeter St. Thomas and Exeter Central railway stations.
